The Channel One Band play an entertaining blend of good-time tunes from reggae’s classic period and self penned material.

In their 12 year history the Channel One Band they have performed across the UK. In 2009 they toured London’s Psychiatric Secure Units and the same year provided conference entertainment for The Royal College of Psychiatrists in Edinburgh.

In 2010 Channel One played at venues on the West Coast of Ireland for the Clifden Arts Festival, a trip that was the subject of the film ‘The Day We Danced on the Moon’ which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in 2011 and has been shown at many of the world's short film festivals.

The band actively campaign on mental health issues and were interviewed and played live on Radio London as part of a two hour drivetime show on a mental health theme, broadcast from Sound Minds in 2010. Drummer and singer Devon Marston has also appeared on BBC2's Newsnight, Radio 4's Today, Radio Five Live (with Health Minister Rosie Winterton), and Channel Four News. Devon has been nominated for a Mental Health Media Award.

Keyboard player Amy Daniel is also a renowned steel pan player and in 2013 collaborated with artist Jeremy Dellor on a work for the Venice Biennalle, arranging a version of David Bowie's 'The Man who Sold the World' for steel pans.
