Sound Minds studio artists presented ‘Body Beautiful’ in our new Bloom Gallery space, a mixed media exhibition of painting, photography, collage, printmaking and sculpture, questioning our concept of beauty in the selfie society of today.
Who decides what beauty really is? Is it skin deep or is it simply a question of symmetry? Is it in the eye of the beholder or is real beauty only found within? Through a range of creative media, the Sound Minds artists explored these questions, reflecting on the everyday impact of cross cultural, accepted ideals.
The exhibition was open for seven days in June and we even managed to sell three pieces of work which was good news for the artists!
It was great to be included as part of the Wandsworth Arts Fringe again in 2023 and we are already thinking of what we might present in 2024. If you have any ideas then do get in touch.
