Post Discharge Support Worker

21 hours £21,845 pro rata plus 3% contribution to pension

We're looking for someone with previous experience in mental health peer support to join our friendly and committed team. This is an exciting new role offering peer support to people leaving hospital in Wandsworth.

An unaccredited introduction to all aspects of filmmaking, the course gives you the basics of camerawork, sound essetials, professional roles and storytelling. 10 weeks, 2 hours per week. Next course starts Wednesday May 17th at 2.00. Tutor: Paul Brewer

Preparing for Ward Visiting

A requirement for peer support work with our highly regarded Canerows support service. Application is by form and interview. Course is three days plus some homework and tutored time.  Next course starts in June 2017.  Tutor:Mia Morris

All you need to get started with audio and uncover the powerful possibilites of 'Reason' software. Covers basic recording methods and audio manipulation. 2 hours per week for 14 weeks. Next course starts Thursday 18th May at 2.00 p.m. Tutor: Searahlaine St James

A free and friendly drop in meeting every Friday 11.00 - 3.30 at the Katherine Low Settlement, around the corner from Sound Minds.

There is a low cost meal plus internet access and a program of activities including outings, discussions, along with peer support. 

 Please note it is for Wandsworth residents experiencing mental health issues only.

completed referral must be received prior to attendance. 

Self referrals are accepted.

Funding is not required, but lunch is £2
